During March, winds are known for their ferocity so the first thing to do is to make sure your plants are well supported during this period.
 
Now is also the time for a spring clean, you need to make sure you’re digging out and turning over as much soil as possible. Weeding is also essential, getting rid of those weeds now will help to ensure they are not a nightmare during summer.

Prepare your gardening tools, make sure the lawn mower is still working and check all the garden furniture is still in good condition from last summer.

 If March is warm enough, which according to this weekend’s weather forecast it should be, treat your wooden sheds, fences with wood preservatives to make sure they are in top shape for what should be a good summer.

In Spring, use a lawn fertiliser, feeding the lawn will increase vigour and help prevent weeds and moss. Remember you should only apply fertilisers when the soil is moist, or when rain has been forecaster.

Watering

It’s important to keep your lawn well watered, but remember that even if lawns turn brown and dry over summer or a long period of draught, they will usually recover when it rains again. W
